How Long Are GMAT Scores Valid?

GMAT scores remain valid for five years from your test date. After that, business schools can no longer access them, so if you took the exam more than five years ago, you’ll need to retake it before applying.

Most applicants take the GMAT within one or two admissions cycles of when they plan to attend business school, so the five-year validity period is more than enough. It matters most if you’re taking the GMAT well before you plan to apply.

If you’re in either of those situations, it’s worth confirming that your score will still be valid when you submit your applications.
