Can I Cancel My GMAT Score?

You don’t need to cancel your GMAT score. After your exam, your official score appears in your mba.com account, where you can review it and decide whether to send it to business schools. Schools never see your scores, or even that you took the exam, unless you choose to send them. 

So if you’re worried about a disappointing score, there’s nothing to cancel. Your scores remain private until you decide otherwise, giving you complete control over what each program sees. 

What if I’m unhappy with my GMAT score?

Simply don’t send that score to schools. Because you decide which scores programs receive, a disappointing result never has to reach an admissions committee. You can retake the exam and send only the score you’re happy with. (Keep in mind that you must wait at least 16 calendar days between GMAT attempts.) Is this different from GMAC cancelling my score?

Yes. Choosing not to send a score is completely different from having a score cancelled by GMAC. GMAC may cancel a score because of a test security violation, which is a separate situation covered in: How to Avoid Getting Your GMAT Score Cancelled.
