Tim Chen earned a 790 on the GMAT, with perfect scores in IR, AWA, and quant. He has attended law school, business school, and medical school at various levels, and even taught English to monks in rural China.

Tim is a multi-talented fellow with an unusually broad range of interests and experience, both in education and beyond. At different points in his educational career, Tim studied at the University of Sydney’s medical school and law school, and ultimately graduated from the business school with a degree in Finance.
Tim has also shown tremendous versatility in his professional life. In addition to his years as a test-prep tutor for the GMAT, GRE, and GAMSAT, he has worked at a top-three management consultancy, a boutique investment bank, and a tech startup.
Tim’s career as a tutor has been driven in large part by his passion for connecting deeply with people from different walks of life. Tim has taught elderly language-learners in Korea, aspiring medical students in Australia, and monks in rural China, in addition to his work with GMAT, GRE, and EA students on several continents. Tim is a native of Sydney, Australia, and teaches with boundless energy and a deep sense of empathy, seasoned with a dash of laid-back Aussie humor.
In his spare time, Tim is an avid traveler, with a particular love for exploring unglamorous places that aren’t necessarily top tourist destinations. He also enjoys tennis, golf, skiing, and spending time with his wildly charismatic dog.
