Charles Bibilos, Founder

In addition to his 20+ years of work as a GMAT and GRE tutor, Charles Bibilos has quietly offered MBA admissions consulting services since 2008, helping countless students gain admission to nearly every top MBA program in the world.

As a longtime test-prep instructor and freelance writer, Charles’s admissions consulting adventures started organically in 2008, when he began hosting MBA application-writing meetups for his GMAT students. Since then, Charles has worked one-on-one with hundreds of students on their MBA application essays, interview skills, and resumes, developing a deep understanding of MBA admissions along the way. He has helped applicants gain admission to nearly every elite MBA program, including Stanford, Harvard, Wharton, Columbia, Booth, INSEAD, LBS, Cornell, Kellogg, and MIT Sloan, among many others.

As an admissions consultant, one of Charles’s greatest strengths is his ability to help clients bring cohesion and clarity to their admissions “pitch”, especially for MBA applicants who are genuinely hazy about their future plans. Like his colleague James Boo, Charles is a creative fellow who excels at helping clients turn their personal experiences into vivid, eye-catching essays that leap off the page.

In addition to his work as an MBA admissions consultant, Charles is one of the world’s most experienced test-prep tutors and an accomplished writer. He has written, edited, or co-written two full-length TOEFL books, several articles in academic journals, white papers for a team of plastic surgeons, and chapters of economics, art history, English, and ornithology textbooks.

Charles graduated with distinction from Stanford University, and earned a perfect score of 800 (51Q/51V/6.0 AWA) on the GMAT. Charles is a former professional dancer and wedding DJ, and he has worked or studied in South Korea, Russia, Chile, Mexico, and Ecuador. In his spare time, Charles loves to travel, write, snowshoe, hike, make his two kids giggle, chat about economics and geopolitics, and eat massive quantities of international food.
